Will the image lose quality?
JPEG is lossy, but at quality 70 to 85 most photos look the same to the eye while shrinking a lot.
Why WebP
WebP produces files that are often a quarter to a third smaller than JPEG at similar quality, and all modern browsers display it. Use it for websites you control. For forms and portals that only accept JPEG, switch the output format back to JPEG.
